4.1 Sessions must be confirmed for a weekly basis (Consecutive weeks)
4.2 All sessions and payment of sessions are logged.
4.3 To ensure that there is a safe space for tutees to learn from mistakes, any difficulties in answering questions that tutees may face during sessions remains confidential between the tutor and the tutee (& parent/guardian when necessary).
4.4 The duration of sessions is up to an hour, however the duration of a session is subject to the tutee’s attention span & tutor assessment.
4.5 M4thTeeMatix upholds academic integrity. Tutors are able to offer support with homework & assignments during sessions, but the tutor will not do the homework/assignment on behalf of the tutee. Sessions are intended to support learning, not replace academic responsibilities.
4.6 The tutor has effectively planned topics for each tutee and will adapt sessions to their learning style, year, and current school topics.
4.7 Alongside, teaching current school topics the tutor follows a syllabus, created by M4thTeeMatix, to ensure the tutee is understanding the core knowledge for their current year as well as learning topics ahead of their current year to give the tutee more time to build confidence in answering and understanding different topics.
4.8 Brief feedback is given after every session.
4.9 All online sessions will receive a new Zoom code at least 15 minutes prior to the session start time and will receive the session notes after each Zoom session.
4.10 All consistent tutees have access to all M4thTeeMatix worksheets via the tutee portal (included in the price of their sessions) Worksheets are created and regularly updated by M4thTeeMatix.
4.11 Tutees can request specific topics which they feel they require more help with up to 48 hours prior to a session so that it is incorporated into the next session.
4.12 M4thTeeMatix Personalised Exam Schedule: winter exam, summer exam (those sitting GCSEs & A- levels may receive extra personalised exams the year that they are sitting these exams). Personalised exams are included in the price for weekly tutees.
OBLIGATIONS
4.13 The tutor is obliged to teach and/or go through mathematical questions and examples with the tutee every session.
4.14 The tutee is obliged to be attentive and to try their best in learning and answering mathematical questions every session.
4.15 Failure of these obligations can result in early completion of session, whilst still being charged.
LATENESS
4.16 Both Tutee & Tutor have a 15-minute grace period (during the grace period there must be an attempt to update one another on the lateness) sessions may commence after the 15-minute grace period, if both parties agree however, the session may not be the full session time.
NO SHOWS
4.17 Failure to attend a session after the grace period (with no communication) will be noted as a no show and result in the session being forfeited.
4.18 Failure to attend 2 consecutive sessions, without communications will result in termination of block sessions and sessions will have to be rebooked and paid for.
